Devlina and Devpurna have stylised the saree by Triveni on a Denim Skirt and Denim crop top with tie and dye effect. The pleats are formed and tucked at the front and the loose end- ‘pallu’ is taken forward just like in the case of ‘Siddha Palla’. For a chic evening out, this is a cool style to pick!

Team BlongShong picks up the traditional Nivi style to try the first drape style. They chose the printed half and half Georgette style number: TSNVN1710 from Triveni’s ‘Venice’ collection. The saree was paired with cold shoulder crop top. They look to inovate more with the drapes with the next style

In this drape style, the saree is styled over pants instead of the petticoat. The pleats are formed in the usual pattern and the saree is draped encircling the body in first round only. The half and half saree style looks good in this pattern. Aparna completes her look with a statement bead neckpiece.

Polina tries a very unique and ancient drape that was used by men and women. At first it was dhoti, but she decided to transform it in something more modern. Instead living “fishtail” in front between legs, it is thrown over a shoulder and the borders of the saree make look more stylish. It is very comfortable drape for sitting, dancing and even running. Polina has combined the saree with simple T-shirt which just looks fabulous!

Parul chooses to adore the classic Nivi style as she tucks the pallu in an elegant fashion to the sides. She chose statement silver oxidized jewelery to complete the look. She picked up Triveni’s Check and Animal Print bright Yellow Art Silk saree for her look!

Kateryna chose the very elegant Chrome Blue Georgette saree from Triveni, With Golden Embroidery along the length of pallu. She made the traditional drape wih the panels in front. The look reminds of Elizabeth Taylor from Cleopatra!

A slightly retro look,  this style is most simple.  Just pleat the pallu slim and hang it around the neck like a pallu. The look is complimented by an ikat crop top as the blouse and accessorized with a black metal head gear.

A trendy get up is ready in minutes!

A Bharatanatyam dancer cannot go wrong with this.  This is called the ‘half saree’.  The saree is folded along the length so that both borders comes in the front and sari ends above knees.  Saree is worn on pajama or slacks. And pallu is wound around the waist. Dancing is very convenient and easy in half saree.

This one is a ornamental get up and more for delicate show.  The saree has been bandaged around the body so that it comes like bangles and the pallu is thinly layer pleated in the front. This reminds of the way Kimono is wrapped around the body.

The saree is drape in a way to resemble the front cut gown. The colour combination falls very beautifully. The pleats are on the side of the waist and pinned the broad border of the pallu vertically pinned and hanged from the neckline to the front.

The get up is very convenient and one can literally run about.
